completely read dependent bluff imo. I'd like to know your reads on BB.

Ya its a bluff given you have A high, although a pretty damn strong semi bluff. I think I take the cheap draw, too often youll have to go allin vs a set or the made flush or straight.

This is the always popular Superman move. You are representing the nuts, and should fold out a lot of hands - Sets aren't even getting the right odds. Too bad you chose a guy with only $200 - he's probably not folding.

good point. i wait for the turn, make the nuts, then milk the remaining fools in the hand with me.

Re: Check. Call. Reraise. Yuck? 600 pl
Hmm, what are your views on the player you are up against? I am guessing that his check raise could be anything from top two, trip 7's/10's, or since he was getting a nice price to play any suited connectors, a flush that could be anything from 45 of spades to JQ of spades. I guess he'd fold top two, call with either of the sets, and make a decision about his flush based on how high it is. Against an average player I just think that this semi-bluff doesn't have a huge amount of fold equity, as the top two pairs are the only hand he is very likely to fold, and a lot of players are going to call through gritted teeth with even the smallest of flushes despite the fact you have played your hand like a big flush.

[/ QUOTE ] yeah unfortunatly A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on a 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] board isn't exactly a very well concealed monster after you check/call the flop and go insane on the turn. |

No reads, this was like the second orbit. But calling the min raise and closing the action could be almost any two. His stack size was just really uncomfortable for this hand.
