Default Check this river right? (10/25 UB)

10/25 effective stack about 2500. 2 limpers and SB completes, I raise pot with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] , 2 callers. Pot is 400ish.

Flop 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I bet pot, 1 caller.

Don't know much about this guy, pretty timid postflop, seems to lay down more often than he should. Played a QQ hand really passive against me postflop that allowed me to catch up and hit 2 pair on river. He was talking to another player and claims it's his first day playing 10/25 on UB. Meanwhile he has like 5k+ stacks at each table

Turn J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I check, he checks.

Hero?

I apologize if this is really boring/standard. Probably a check. If the river is a 2c instead, does your answer change?

These levels are above my head, but I'll offer my 2c anyway.

I'm not sure why you'd ever check this river. Is he so timid that he'd just flat call the flop and check the turn with a set? Would he check behind the nut flush on the turn? What's worrying you here? I don't get it...

He probably won't call any bet, but will bet a worse hand

I think you bet somewhere around 300 into this pot. He'll with the Q or T, maybe worse if you're small bet screams steal/tiny club.

If he's timid, he wont bet on this scary board against tricky player like you.

I think a value bet might be in order here...He's probably put you on a missed AK by now and might not believe you have a club (this seems like a bluff spot)....Anyway, i think there is a good chance you'll get a call if he has any club. If he raises, you can safely fold your hand (given how timid he seems to be).
