I don't think there's much value in betting the river, since it looks as though the TAG BB has spiked two-pair (particularly considering that he could have limped with a wide range of hands in the BB). Maybe he was raising with a pair and a flush draw - Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] perhaps? Still, I'd check and call the river I think.

As has already mentioned, this is probably a fold preflop. SSHE recommends that you can limp with ATo in early position in a very loose game though.

Yeah, thats pretty strange.

Why did you decide to raise this preflop? Usually this would be a fold, but there are times when a raise is correct. It would help if you posted that reasoning with the hand. You'd also get better replies. Also, cut out the action after you question so it doesn't skew replies.

I can't think of a hand a player with those stats would play like this unless it was a misclick/bizarre error. Maybe T9s/KQs and he's getting some equity? Or something, I don't know.

It's close because of the weird line the BB took, but I would bet the river. There are enough worse pairs that will call that will make it for value. Tho I don't think checking is a big error. If BB checkraises again, you should give him a little note that says "tricky fucker".

I had been getting a lot of respect preflop, hence my raise. The last 2 times I raised, it was folded around.

Given the action, it looks like BB had some sort of draw that improved on the turn.
