Re: Tell your stories of fish plays at the WSOP
There was this woman there, she had no clue how to play. She'd shove all in after raises and re-raises with AJo, she was a terrible player and she took forever to play her hands, like every single hand too.
She came in 15th and won $400,000 Don't you just love poker?? |

Re: Tell your stories of fish plays at the WSOP
I am down to T3300 or so in the main-event.
Blinds are 150/300, ante 25 (T700 in pot before ANY betting). Idiot on my right (who kind of smells....and has been kind of smelly for all 10 hours I was next to him) has already open-pushed all-in pre-flop a few times and is amazed he can't get any callers for his 20-30xBB pushes. Anyway, he has T5500 or so and he raises to 5xBB (T1500). I push my whole 3300 stack with AQo in LP. Folded back around to him: We have 1500+3300+700 = 5500 already in the pot. It is another 1800 for him to call (and he's now down to only 4000 anyway). He thinks and thinks and goes into some WPT-staredown of me 'trying to get a read'....and then, incredibly, folds. And pats himself on the back for making a good fold because he was sure that I had the 'better' hand. Obviously for those pot-odds it would be correct to call with virtually anything there. |

Re: Tell your stories of fish plays at the WSOP
Third hand of the tournament I limp with 66, three or four other people call. Flop is 622, I check raise the flop and win a small pot. I really didn't want to be the first one out the tournament if someone got a higher full-house

Re: Tell your stories of fish plays at the WSOP
All folds, SB calls, BB checks, pot is 400
Flop: QQ3, check, check Turn: T QQ3, check, check River 3 TQQ3, check, BB bets 800, SB goes into the tank for about 3 minutes. The whole time he's muttering, "what can you have, what can you have", then he calls. BB shows a 3 for 3's full of Q's, wins the pot. Oh yeah, SB was Chau Giang ... |

Re: Tell your stories of fish plays at the WSOP
Round 2, Blinds 50-100.
Happened at my table. Aggressive Player #1 Limps. Aggressive Player #2 Raises to 300 or so. A few other players call, aggressive player #1 calls. Flop is JT3 rainbow. Aggressive Player #1 Bets 1000. Aggressive Player #2 insta-pushes for 12,000. All fold, Aggressive Player #2 insta-calls. AG#1 33 AG#2 Q9 Brick Brick. ESPN came to film, said the guy who busted was some semi-famous player I never heard of. Prahlad Friedman, or something. I guess he's some young punk who won a bracelet 2 years ago or something. Oh well. I wonder if he plays on the internet, I bet I could crush him in some cash games. |
