Re: ATo- First in,
I like it, besides the flop 3 bet, he caps jacks or better PF, raises a set or trips on the turn.
I put him on 77 or TT |

Re: ATo- First in,
I'm really confused by your play, here.
PF raise is a bit frisky, but you're late enough in that I can see going into raise-or-fold mode. Flop bothers me. Why make this three? A fish just raised you on a flop that didn't help you. I can see calling and betting a blank turn, but raising it seems like you're getting too far ahead of your hand here. Turn is a continuation of aggression I didn't like on the flop. A fish with an 8 is just going to suck you out all the way down. I think you're behind here. A three-bet didn't drive him off the pot at the flop, so I don't think one more drives him off at the turn. Also, I think you can easily get a free river if you check. Why put more money in a pot where your equity is less than 50%? River payoff makes sense to me, although of the few hands that CO had at the turn that didn't beat you, that third heart makes many of them. Still, his lone 8 just got stoned to death if that's what he was playing. Any heart other than the T or A, though, and I'm dumping the river to one bet. I'd really be curious to hear why you made the decisions that puzzle me so much. |

If he were aggressive and you think he's making a move, this is a board where you're likely way ahead or way behind. I would just check/call the turn and river. |

The turn was an extension of that, I figured since he did not cap, that I might as well follow up and lead the turn. But given the read, would it be out of line to dump the flop? |

But given the read, would it be out of line to dump the flop? [/ QUOTE ] Certainly not. Reverse implied odds are working against you here, and even if you hit it's going to be hella hard saving bets when you're behind and getting bets in when you're ahead. |

Re: ATo- First in,
This was played terribly if you have any sort of sample size for this player's stats. Call the flop CR and fold the turn unimproved - against a player like this anything else is spraying and I hate to say it, but it is not close.
