Look at how others post their hands before you try. Here's the formatted version:

One question, if you put him on an ace, why can't you put him on a king?!

Sorry about the history post. I was using an outdated version of Bison's converter, now defunct with PP recent HH changes. I suppose it makes sense to put him on a king now that I look back. Would you raise for information on the turn or not? When I raised and he just called, I figured I had him beat there, which made me bet the river. Any thoughts?

No worries, now you know

First things first, the fact that he 3-bet you on a 722 flop should send warning bells. Random holdings like A5 etc won't 3-bet here. Since your read isnt specific, I can't tell you if you're in trouble, but it sounds like the villian likes his hand. If hes a true maniac (which he may be), than you might not have to worry and can cap away.

The trouble comes when an overcard hits, and he bets into you. Suddenly, its a lot more likely he has a hand that beats you. If he liked his hand on the flop, it was probably A7, K7, KQ, anything. Since they all contain a hand that beats you, you should probably call down from here.

Raising for information is also a very quick way to waste money. You're never going to fold this to a 3-bet, so why raise? What if he calls your raise, then bets the river? More confusion. You'll never get solid information out of a LAG (or any player for that matter, except maybe a rock), so never bet for information. Put him on a range of hands (a K is likely), and call down.

Thanks for the advice. I picked up SSH per the recommendation of other forum users recently and am still trying to get the knack of this book. I played 2/4 for the longest time and I didn't feel like my winning was a fluke. I was ultra-aggressive, fairly tight and things went well(I made $6,000+ in under 4 months). I bumped to 5/10 and didn't feel my game was well-rounded. SSH plan seems less aggressive than what I'm used to, but I think I may benefit from this. I'm trying to improve on my pot equity calculations and playing draws better. As I said, I still think I have a ways to go before I understand this book's style, and even if it doesn't end up becoming my own, it will be useful knowledge. Thanks again.

This guy calls a capped flop with king high? What determination. I'd probably just call turn and expect him to have A2 or something. sucks you lost in this way.
