Default HU against stinkypetes

Me and stinkypete are going at it. He has been opening with trash, I've been 3betting with trash. He's been capping with trash. He's up on me a bit at this point (i soon change that ) and im a little frustrated at suckouts.

Here's a hand.

I have Kd8h in the BB. (SB = button)

Pete opens, I 3bet, Pete calls.

Flop Qc5s8d

I bet he calls

Turn 4d

I bet he raises I 3bet he calls.

River 7c

I check intending to call a bet.

sorry. i didnt see many of your capping hands. i know we've both been opening with trash. i've been 3betting lightly (as you can see) and im sure you have been.

However you did cap with A3o which is looking bad against my 3betting range.

your 3-betting range is wide, i think it's roughly neutral ev.

well i personally think preflop matters very little here. everyone needs to mix it up. i think my 3bet here is +EV but i might do the same thing with 65s or something random.

ok, i dont mind it i guess but i think bet/call turn and leading the river might be better than 3betting and then checking the river. (?). Were you trying to induce a fold w/ the 3bet? It was was for value then how are you not leading the river? Sexy? I dont get it. So i guess in conclusion i dont like it so much.

are these from a hu session?

you guys are still too crazy i think. i dont see the point of routinely going many bets with weak and marginal hands even in a hu match.

i dont like it.

i watched stinkypete play tolbiny hu in hula and he def would have bluffed the riv after the turn raise.

however, i dont think he will bluff after you 3bet so you lose a bet whenever he rivers you.

this, of course, is if you are even ahead right now.

also, if these are hu matches i would challenge you guys.
