I think the turn call is correct. If you didn't hit your 9, you could try to buy it as a bluff, but with the 9 you actually have something so don't need to. Maybe he'll make another small bet on the river, and you can win a cheap showdown.
On the river I think you could bet. It's very unlikely you're beat, as anything that could beat you would bet. There's a chance you could get called by a weaker hand than. If you hand't spiked your 7, I'd agree with the check through. If the stacks were deeper or the game tougher, I'd be more inclined to agree with your play, although it's hard to imagine a tough game where someone would make that pathetic bet on the turn. |
