I'm dealt 33 UTG at a loose table with little raising preflop.
I call. MP1 calls. MP2 calls. CO raises. Button flat calls. BB calls. I call. Flop is: K32 with two diamonds BB bets. I raise. MP1 flat calls. MP2 folds. CO reraises. Button folds. BB flat calls. I cap. MP1 flat calls. CO calls. Turn is the 4 of diamonds. What is my optimal turn line in this multiway pot? Obviously I'm getting odds to draw to a boat if someone has a flush. Given the amount of action on the flop, it seems very likely that someone hit their flush, so playing this hand strong may be a mistake. Any comments? |

You have to learn to not fear the flush in this spot. When you look at the numbers, it is rare that anyone will be on a flush draw, even when there is heavy action. If the flop were K32 with 3 suits, you probably would have seen the exact same sequence. With 4 other people in the pot, it is about 4:1 against someone having a flush draw. The fact that there is a lot of action is more of a function of the pot being large then it is of people having the said draw. Every bet that goes in certainly increases the chance of there being a flush draw, but it will not be there say... 2/3 of the time.
Even if it is, your equity is still in good shape. Get to betting. |

Here's the turn:
BB checks. I bet. MP1 folds. CO raises. Button folds. I call. I think I should have definitely 3-bet here... |

Unless cutoff is a complete maniac we can narrow his range down quite a bit based on his preflop raise and his flop 3-bet. I think he has KK, AA, AK with a diamond, or AdQd. he doesn't seem to be concerned with the 3-flush on board so I think he already has the flush or has the Ad. It may be weak-tight but I am calling and then calling the river if it doesn't pair the board.

You've gotta lead this turn. Re-evaluate then. If it comes back to you for two or three bets, then yes, dump it.

The pot is way too big, our hand is way too good, and we have way too many outs to fold this for even three bets. I would bet and gladly call 3 more back to me.

I'm reading the turn action now and I think hero should probably 3-bet the turn. I'd be more reluctant to if someone, say BB re-raises it to 3-bets because I think we'd be on a re-draw more often than not. However, the CO has been aggressive throughout the hand and I think its to our benefit to play back against him.

Yeah, how often does a microlimit player play flush draw strong on the flop? I think I was definitely giving those suckers too much credit on that hand.
