I like check-raising the river. If the ace on the turn didn't stop him from betting, the backdoor flush probably won't either. If he has a busted straight draw, you can only make money by checking.

you tell me nothing about villian's postflop play. is he aggressive? it's really up to you, obviously if you are certain he will bet than by all means C/R. but if he has a weak hand and the river will scare him into checking (or he doesnt have an A and is scared you do) I would bet.

One of the few times I intentially pause most of the time is when I turn a flush draw.

If the flopped flush draw that we aren't going to be able to convince anyone we don't have it if we've been calling or whatever. I think by agonizing a touch on the turn call we can c/r a lot more when the backdoor flush comes in.
