Flop: 488r
Checked around.

I don't get it.

It's not a value bet because your unlikely to have the best hand.

Your not folding any jack. Also a lot of pocket pairs will call you down.

I think its a waste betting out this turn.

A) Nice game selection.
B) I think the Jack is a bad card to follow up with. What was your flop plan?

I'd rather bet the flop than the turn. I think betting the turn is bad.

I dislike this line. I think waiting to bet once the J has come off is misguided. The J is one of the most likely cards to hit your opponents and you may just put yourself in a position of having to call a raise to try to draw to overcards (or at least spew one bet without much chance of taking the pot down at this point).

Why didn't you bet the flop?

I generally hate the approach of ceding control of the hand on the flop and then trying to get it back by betting the turn, particularly when the turn is a card that likely hit at least one of your opponents.

Bet the flop. Probably check and fold the turn.
