Default bb defense with 10-8 ... c/r turn

Anyone like? Button raiser is semi-laggy 30/20

I was going to c/f river if he bet.

My standard line is to c/r flop and lead turn.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, Button raises, 1 fold, Hero calls.

Flop: (4.33 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (3.16 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero raises, Button calls.

River: (7.16 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

Final Pot: 7.16 BB

I checked raised the turn not the river...

Getting 3.33:1 against this type of opponent I think a PF call isn't terribly wrong.

Don't fold PF. Those other two are on crack.

Bzzt. This is far from being a clear call pre-flop.

the main benefit to this is he'll fold a 6 outer a good portion of the time. (he isn't folding anything that beats you unless he has a 9, but I wouldnt even assume he'll fold that)

the best way to do that is to play it the same way you did last time you had top pair or better in this spot, and how you play those hands is part of your style.

personally, when I don't c-fold I like to c/call and donkbet the turn with pairs+ on ace high drawless boards, as it keeps things more manageable (I feel much better calling down after a turn raise than I do a three bet of my c/r) and I find he's equally as likely to give up hands I want him to with this line - he'll usually give up hands like KJ to the donkbet. and sometimes I get to drop the hammer and three bet when I do have two pair or a set (I feel just as good about AK-AQ but I would always three bet those PF so they don't get lumped into this strategy). I know I'll have to mix it up more as I play more observant opponents, but this has worked well for me so far, I think.
