Re: BOW DOWN (negative content)
it's really profitable to call with any 2 suited from the BB against a steal raise? I might need to really loosen up

Re: BOW DOWN (negative content)
Bow down, when I come to your town
bow down, when we Westward bound Bow down, cause I ain't a hater like you Bow down, to a N***** that's greater than you. Totally thought this post was going to be about Westside Connection. I agree with stheif though, I don't care who the opponent is, hard to imagine something as weak as 73 being profitable, soooted or not. |

Re: BOW DOWN (negative content)
There is a class of 6-max opponent so over aggro that against them implied odds on blind defenses go through the roof since all you need to do is flop a pair and your opponent will spew chips to you. Also many times these guys are steal raising with garbage themselves and you are getting good odds to see a flop. The key is to avoid domination.
There is a really good thread in the SH archives where Schneids gives a long diatribe on blind defense and doing more of it against the right opponents, along with some discussion by other great players. I'll try to dig it up. |

Re: BOW DOWN (negative content)
I completely missed that this was 6-max. Still, I'd be interested in reading that thread.
I'm not always confident in my play, so I avoid 6-max because of the swings, but I get what you're saying. |

Re: BOW DOWN (negative content)
The fact that they are suited means basically nothing heads up, so that means you are defending w/ 72o and 23o? There's really no difference in this situation. Being out of position w/ a crappy hand is not a situation I'm looking to get into online no matter how bad they are. You'll have a better hand next time around, I guarantee it.
The swings are big enough for me only playing good hands... ReMMy |

Re: BOW DOWN (negative content)
Suited still makes a pretty big difference heads-up for some less than obvious reasons.

Re: BOW DOWN (negative content)
Interesting read. Was this guy raising everything from CO and button and carrying them too far? How many tables are you playing when you defend in these situations?
