Which Dell Monitor to Buy?
I have seen many positive posts regarding the Dell Flat Panel 2001FP, but what about the 2005FPW. It's the same monitor but widescreen... does anyone have any feedback on this for 4 tabling?
Thanks |

Re: Which Dell Monitor to Buy?
1680 x 1050 resolution = Overlap when four tabling.

Re: Which Dell Monitor to Buy?
uhh...I'm usually not a search nazi, but jesus christ.
A quick search would reveal that the 2005 is not capable of 1600x1200 resolution, the necessary resolution for 4 tabling without overlap. I don't even own one of these damn things, but it would be impossible not to know everything about them if you read this forum for two seconds. |

Re: Which Dell Monitor to Buy?
Yes, its easy to search and see that there's overlap with the 2005, but its not easy to tell if it matters. I asked the same question several times, without anyone once commenting on just how significant the overlap is.
The overlap is maybe an inch and a half or so in the up-and-down direction. If you're not intent on 8- or 12-tabling, but just like to play a few tables at once, you'll be fine. To get a better idea, with the focus on the lower table, you can see the player's handle and any bets they make at the top table (on Party and skins). If the table on top has focus, it cuts off the top players at the bottom table, so that's a little annoying. Its by no means debilitating, so if you need the widescreen for other reasons, and are just a casual multitabler, it'll work out great for you. |
