Default My live NL leak

I think I tip too much. When I win pots >200 dollars I usually tip two or three bucks to the dealer. When I won a few 400-500 dollar pots I was tipping a 5 dollar chip each time. Is this out of the ordinairy or am I tipping way too much? BTW this is happening at 2-5 500 tables.

I think 5 bucks is a little much, 1-3 is my range for the 300nl game I play. See what other people are tipping, and give a bit more than the average.

1 dollar/pot, 2 dollar/big pot, 3 dollar/suck out in big pot, 4-5 dollar for your best buddy dealer if you play there alot and they do a good job, 5 dollar/ buffet comp.

My advice is, don't sweat it. Think of how much this "costs" you a day. $20 at most, right? If this is your worst leak, you're doing extremely well.

$1 per hand, no matter what. Less thinking involved and if they deal 30 hands/hour thats pretty damn good pay.

i tip about the same. blind steals and very small pots (<20), like the one person doesn't call my flop continuation bet, i don't tip anything. so it works out to more overall but not too too much and i think it is +EV to give big tips for big pots, makes the dealers happy when they get a red chip or two (i'll even give 10 bucks if pot is >$2k)

Six days a week, thats six grand a year. Obviously, I'm out of touch because I dont play a lot live anymore, but 6k is 6k.

What's the downside of tipping much less than you do currently? People treat you badly, bad karma? Not trying to be an a-hole, but for people grindin out a living B&M, this is to be considered.
