Semi blind steal whilst short stackd ?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t600 (8 handed) converter
UTG (t11725) UTG+1 (t15705) MP1 (t2550) Hero (t6245) CO (t14259) Button (t27846) SB (t5125) BB (t11720) Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 3 folds, Hero ?, CO and blinds are tightish solid players, the bigstack on the button is seeing a lot of flops playing passively postflop and getting lucky. Is this a good spot to stick in a raise seeing as almost any raise would almost leave you pot commited and the likelyhood the button will call ? If-so just a standard 3-4BB raise or a push ? Wasn't too sure what to do with this hand. |

Re: Semi blind steal whilst short stackd ?
With ante on Poker Stars, I would push this. It is kind of borderline.
I don't see a lot of point in a standard raise, except maybe to represent strength. You might be able to limp in this situation though. However, this is a hand you kind of more want to push with than see a flop with. |

Re: Semi blind steal whilst short stackd ?
Yeah, with antes, pot should be 1300 if my math / knowledge of PS levels is right. So your M is < 5 = push and this hand is plenty good enough.
FWIW in the ante rounds I open raise in this spot almost all of the time, whatever my stack is. |
