I would generally call the flop and fold to a turn bet.

Hmmm. I can't really think of many hands you're ahead of here. AK or 88-99 is about as good as it gets. With this flop, I think you can get to a pretty cheap showdown (call this and he's going to have a very hard time betting much on the turn), but getting to a cheap show-down that you usually lose is a pretty dubious goal.
The other option, of course, is to take the hand away from him. Call here, bet or raise the turn, and (my optimistic self thinks) he'll have to lay down his AQ, KK and even AA. Unfortunatley, the chances of getting him to lay down any of these hands are not worth the risk. I guess I like it. |
