Default Microposter Review: hand 56

Not sure if this has been adressed yet (sorry busy with school) but does anyone else here think we should raise the turn or the river, preferably the river? Depending on reads villain could have anything here, I guess hero is afraid of a set?

Hand 56:
PreFlop: Hero is MP2 with Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (10 Players)
3 folds, Hero raises, 3 folds, SB calls, BB calls

Flop: (3.00 SB) 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
SB checks, BB bets, Hero raises, SB folds, BB raises, Hero calls

Turn: (6.00 BB) K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB bets, Hero calls

River: (8.00 BB) 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB bets, Hero calls

I think this is a pretty clear WA/WB situation. Lets take the river. If villian is bluffing, (busted flush draw springs to mind) then he isn't going to call a raise, so there isn't any positive expectation by raising. The only strong hand that villian could have had on the flop that we're beating is 92. Any other 2 pair or a set we're obviously beaten by. Don't forget that villian was in the BB so he could have almost anything, (go the BB specials.)

In other words, if we're ahead and we raise villian might just fold. If we're behind villian is going to make it expensive for us to continue. Calling down is the best option here in my humble opinion. Raise the river if you will, but be prepared to fold to a 3-bet.

I thought I remembered this hand being discussed already. Check this thread out for a great line from Shillx.

Cool, I learnt something today. Didn't even think about that angle. Isn't poker fun?
