This is why you don't slowplay KK on a shortstack

I just called because I don't think that AJo is that strong of a hand with a full table and being out of position. When the flop hit me I checked it to see where I was at in the hand and when the short stack bet 300 I was hoping that he had an inferior A, or maybe a Q.

I had every intention of raising enough to put him all in since I figured he was pot committed and my raise should get me heads up with him, which it did. When he flipped over KK I was very surprised.

I told him that I would not have even been in the hand had he raised a normal amount pre flop because I would have folded my hand.

This is why you do not want a lot of people to limp into your pot when you hold AA or KK.
