Default Hi, I\'m a typical American

My completely ineffective gov't lies to me to my face repeatedly, oil companies [censored] me in the ass every time I fill up or try and heat my home and nobody will do anything about it, I probably know someone or know someone who knows someone that has died in a meaningless 'war' in Iraq, I spend two hours a day in traffic simply because my local and state gov't (and the DoT) is incompetent, my kids can't go to school because politicians are too busy lining their own pockets to pay teachers, inflation is going up 100x faster than my cost of living increases, and/or I'm a terminally ill patient and my gov't wants to tell me whether I can ease my pain or not, and/or I'm a gay person and the gov't is trying to steal my rights, and/or I'm a poor minority and the gov't will run me into the ground rather than help me ease my way out of poverty, I pay two or three times what I'd need to in taxes if my elected officals didn't rip me off each and every day, blah blah

But you know what? It's not that bad because I have my cell phone and my oversized SUV and what else could you possibly need?

Yeah it really sucks to live in the US. I guess we should send your post to all the Chinese, Cubans, Mexicans, Nigerians and others killing themselves to make it to this country, it might convince them to stay in their own countries which are probably better than the hellhole we call America.

LOL!
I hear China is a nice place. Why don't you look into moving. Or if you really hate capitalism, try Cuba. Living in a socialist paradise is the bomb.

Who says people want it? One has to eat, drink, shelter and educate themselves before they can determine what they want. Without use of a vehicle and gasoline, you cannot get these basic necessities in North America. It is only the rich who have the luxury to get what they WANT, and it may take years for an individual to become rich, if ever.

I actually believe this. 90% of faith in government is $$. Being able to eat to your heart's content every day is worth many, many votes.

Liberals greatly underestimate the power of $$, especially when it comes to the basic stuff.

Conservatives greatly underestimate the power of collaboration.

And you probably know someone or know someone who knows someone that has died in a meaningless car accident.

And you probably know someone or know someone who knows someone that has died of a meaningless disease.

And we have people trying to reduce deaths from all three causes: terror, accidents, diseases. These are meaningful jobs they are doing while you sit here whining.

Did you completely forget about the 32 inch plasma TV?

Who cares if the mexicans are taking every job in America at half the wage, or 90% of the crap you buy in Wal Mart is from China? I got 154 channels!!!
