Default Is this idea effective?

To improve one's MTT play, besides playing and reading here of course, has anyone ever watched a pro on FTP or a top tourney player from the Stars Points list in order to learn? And is it a good idea/does it work improve one's thought process/play?

I think ghosting someone can be a good idea (ie, they tell you their cards and their thought process over the phone), but just watching probably won't get you very far. It would be a better use of your time to play low limits as you try to grasp the game.

Also, be careful not to give all the TLB players a lot of credit -- while most are good MTT players, some are losing players who happen to just play a ton of MTTs.
