Default Three Shot Dead at Ga. Trial; Gunman Flees

Article

I hope they catch this bastard quick and summarily execute him.

By the way, check this article tidbit out:

"The law requires that defendants on trial not be handcuffed as they enter the courtroom, to make sure the sight of cuffs doesn't unfairly influence the jury."

This has to be the dumbest rule ever. If this rule had not been in place, this female deputy and the other dead would likely still be alive.

I agree that if it weren't for the rule, the others would be alive (and the criminal still be a mere suspect).

But the advantages of the rule are plainly obvious and probably good. Imagine that your sister/son/whatever was being charged with a violent crime. You knew that s/he was innocent, but still, he (too many slashes already) is brought into the courthouse in an orange jumpsuit and shackles.

That hardly paints an "innocent until proven guilty" picture.

I see your point.

But still, a female officer should not have been used in this case. The average female does not have the upper body strength that an average male does. They should have had at least 2 or 3 officers on this punk. He is a violent criminal(rapist), after all.

I was thinking something similar yesterday. And then I was thinking about how the PC police would string me up for that.

Yes, I picked this up from the newspaper article also.
The chief was saying even some of his biggest deputies wouldn't have been a match for this guy, so why did they have a women escort him?

Clinton's fault. I'll let others elaborate.
