Default Poker superstitions, myths, legends, lore

I'm writing a paper about poker for a folklore class, and I'm looking for a little help/inspiration. Do any of you know any good poker related stories along the lines of an urban legend? What are some crazy superstitions you've seen or heard about at the table? Are there any myths about the creation/creators of poker or specific casinos?

Post this in the internet poker forum. There's millions of urban legends about online poker (see "Curse, Cashout", "Switch, Lose", "Flop, Action" and so on..)
