Default Nut full house - check/fold?

3/6 OH8 4-handed

UTG is tight

UTG limps, Button limps, SB completes, I raise AA56ss in the BB, everyone calls

Flop 222

SB checks, I bet, everyone calls

Turn 5

SB checks, I bet, UTG raises, Button folds, SB folds, easy fold?

I just started O8 so forgive me if this is wrong, but I don't see the nut FH. Isn't the nut high at this point A2?

I think he meant he had the best boat, but of course behind quads which is why he said fold.

Five deuces is clearly the nuts.

AAxx on a 222 flop is indeed the best boat. Of course, on the turn that changed.

Ah, the curse of semantics on internet forums =)

With the river, the nut boat is pocket 5's (which is, admittely, soooo likely in PLO8 especially since you've got one).
I'd call here, but I don't make money playing poker.
You've got a decent shot at the board filling your low hand, if the deuce is not in his hand, you've got the high hand - he'd need to have 2 of A34 to beat you on the low side so he's looking at A23x A24x or 234x to beat you on both ends.
If a 3,4,7,8 or deuce comes up, that's probably a good shot at the low hand, and at the high hand. That gives you 17 ways to half the pot with 44 cards out.
With your call that would be 10 bets in the pot - 1/3 of the bottom half is still worth the big bet to look.

Is there any hand that UTG could conceivably limp and raise the turn with that you beat? In a 4-handed game, the answer is probably yes - A3/A4 JJ+ type hands perhaps. Your preflop raise does not peg your for AA+low, I would hope.

The pot is 9BB, and it costs 2BB to call down. You will be getting 5:1 on a calldown. Plus, those times that UTG holds A2 you will occassionally win the low on the river.

Default I\'m still a newbie, but ...

When triples are on the board, someone ALWAYS has a quad.

I have yet to see a game where this isn't the case.

Easy fold, but I'm a little cautious.

Best,
Zim
