I got to wait a month before voting? uh

anyway, It all depends on your engine, I had a caprice classic 9c-1 and it hated economy grade. My mom bought the car and filled it up. Although I told her to go with at least the mid grade she went with economy, My car absolutely hated it.

Now my Bonneville runs perfectly fine on economy. In fact alot of cars will run better on economy grade fuel, because that is what they are tuned for. If you have a large engine or a high compression ratio then you will probably need higher grade fuel.

I'm not exactly a car expert, but I don't agree with this part:

I don't know the details but I've been told that the better grades get more performance and efficiency from your vehicle

You should put whichever one your owners manual recommends into your car.

If you drive a Lexus then put premium in. It needs it, and putting lower grade fuel in can probably do damage.

If you drive a Cavalier then put unleaded in it. Putting premium in is a waste.
