Default Chris Carpenter

Why the [censored] couldn't I have [censored] drafted him on one [censored] team this year?

He joins a long list of past fantasy baseball pitchers throughout the years, who I drafted for multiple years as a bust, and gave up on just when they decided to break out and be good. Past graduates include Matt Clement, and another breakout from this year, Jon Garland.

A tip, this puts Zack Greinke on pace for a huge breakout in about 2008.

Hmm, I never thought of that. Of course, the M's haven't had many people lately that made it to the bigs before blowing their arms out.

We're in the first year of a dynasty league and someone grabbed Carpenter five picks ahead of when I was going to take him. I ended up with Maddux instead (13th round of a 14-team league).

Ouch.

Thinking back, I think I passed on him because I was unsure of his injury status coming into the season. That, and that fact that he's been hurt like 37 times before.
