Bought a phone off eBay - stolen?
I bought a used phone off eBay from a seller with 100% eBay feedback. In the item description, he claimed he bought the phone in a live auction, but it really seems like it was stolen.
Is there a way to find out if a phone was stolen other than asking Verizon? (service is under mom's name, don't have her info) |

Re: Bought a phone off eBay - stolen?
Ask the seller for the ESN (Electronic Serial Number) of the phone. It's usally an 8-digit hexadecimal or 11-digit decimal. (At least with Sprint it is) Then call up the provider and have them run a check to see if that ESN has been flagged as stolen.
You shouldn't need your moms info just to run a check like this. |
