Default everybody\'s doing it (pushing in)

Now that I have your attention here is a hand that was a bit crazy - a personal record five of us went all-in on preflop. Any advice and or comments, which apparently would only be related to the play preflop would be great.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) converter

CO ($26.82)
Button ($20.50)
SB ($23.30)
BB ($27.50)
UTG ($47.60)
UTG+1 ($23.10)
Hero ($45.85)
MP2 ($3.85)
MP3 ($48.27)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls $0.50, Hero calls $0.50, MP2 folds, MP3 calls $0.50, CO raises to $2, Button calls $2, SB calls $1.75, BB folds, UTG+1 calls $1.50, Hero raises to $6, MP3 folds, CO calls $4, Button calls $4, SB calls $4, UTG+1 raises to $10, Hero raises to $45.85 (All-In), CO calls $20.82 (All-In), Button calls $14.50 (All-In), SB calls $17.30 (All-In), UTG+1 calls $13.10 (All-In).

Flop: ($140.57) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="blue">(5 players, 5 all-in)</font>

Turn: ($140.57) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="blue">(5 players, 5 all-in)</font>

River: ($140.57) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="blue">(5 players, 5 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $140.57
<font color="#990066">Main Pot: $103.50, between CO, Button, SB, UTG+1 and Hero.</font> &gt; <font color="white">Split: CO ($51.75), Hero ($51.75).</font>
<font color="#990066">Pot 2: $10.40, between CO, SB, UTG+1 and Hero.</font> &gt; <font color="white">Split: CO ($5.20), Hero ($5.20).</font>
<font color="#990066">Pot 3: $0.59, between CO, SB and Hero.</font> &gt; <font color="white">Split: CO ($0.29), Hero ($0.29).</font>
<font color="#990066">Pot 4: $7.04, between CO and Hero.</font> &gt; <font color="white">Split: CO ($3.52), Hero ($3.52).</font>
<font color="#990066">Pot 5: $19.03, overbet by Hero.</font>

Results in white below: <font color="white">
SB shows 4d 8d (one pair, fours).
UTG+1 shows 6h Ah (one pair, sixes).
Hero shows Kc As (one pair, kings).
CO shows Kh Ac (one pair, kings).

expecting AA vs. KK vs. QQ vs JJ vs AK?

I don't have my copy of HPFAP but I think all those hands people put their money in with are group 1. Maybe someone can verify for me.

I like the preflop limp, re-raise move.

I'm sure you had a good read on the table and were quite certain someone would raise. Otherwise it's a risky move letting so many limp in with trash.

Is this ultra "soft" play common on the NL tables at Party, or was this hand the exception.

I didn't expect quite this much action preflop but there was a lot of raising going on.

As for your question it's mixed. I've never seen two people call all-in with garbage like 84s and Jxs but there are a lot of ridiculous plays being made. Different tables have different kind of fish but they all have them. This table was pretty extreme. Some tables people never call raises preflop but will call you down postflop with anything so you have to adjust a bit.

During my brief stint as a Party NL player (I now play NL at sites with more "player friendly" 100BB maxbuys and limit at Party), I folded from EP 4 separate times only to see the ENTIRE table go all in.

Party can be a strange place...
