Re: Preflop
You should do yourself a favor and figure this one out yourself. All you need is a piece of paper, a pencil, a few minutes, and some determination. Having the answer (57%) to questions like "My opponent will only raise UTG with AA, KK, and AK. What are the chances he has AK?" is important. If you just want the answer, scroll down. . . . . . . . . . . About 4.68% |

Re: Preflop
Mikey, You should buy Mike Petriv's Hold'em's Odds Book. The book has lots of valuable information in it including what you need to answer this question by yourself. Here's a piece of information. There are 1,326 possible starting hand combinations. An opponent could hold AA six ways, KK six ways....AK sixteen ways, etc. Answer the question yourself and show your work for others on the forum by posting it. You will get much more value out of it this way. |

My answer in %
There are 1326 two card combinations. A pocket pair accounts for 6 of those, Aces through tens is therefore 30 combinations AK as well as AQ accounts for 16 combinations each which makes 32 combinations So the sum of all these combinations is 62 62/1326 chance with these holdings or 1/21= 20:1 = 4.76% I hope this is right and please correct me if I'm wrong Allan |
