OT: Four years ago today (9/11/01)

I saw a grainy video of the developing-person that would change my life forever and found out that I was going to be a father of a little girl.

While others look back on what was, collectively, the worst day in the history of our country I remember the undescribable joy that I felt when I saw Maya's (working title) beating heart.

She has continued to have the ability to make bad days better for me ever since.

9/11 freaked my mom out who was 7'ish months into her pregnancy with twin boys (my half-brothers). I was a freshman in HS at the time. My stepdad was a pilot for Delta at the time, so she got concerned and as a result they made her take bedrest. A month and a half later, Oct 30, my bros were born. Almost 4 years old now and they're nutty and smart as hell. And now I'm in college.

As part of the fun, that is my life, today is fight over picture day. It's funny that the pictures are the only thing I really feel strongly about.
