Just a quick question
In a 50 cent- 1 dollar game, i got berated by 2 players for calling with 4-2 suited with 5 limpers in front, and I won a big pot when I hit trips. Having read Small Stakes Hold by Sklansky and Malmuth, I know that this move was ok, but how do you deal with these "small stakes pros" who think they know everything?

Re: Just a quick question
Mom was right about this too: "ignore them."
FWIW, you were at the table and know how everyone was playing, but you might think twice about playing one-gap 2's and 3's. Outside of hitting a set, you can find yourself in a lot of trouble with the low end of a straight or a lower flush. |
