Why are you raising with KJs from mid position at such an early level? What do you hope to achieve by doing this and how will it make your line on the flop easier? How about the position on the flop if one of the late position players calls?

I personally hate hands like this, because I do not know what the villian has or is thinking. The first call rarely concerns me. The second call makes me very nervous.

Too often I call the all-in - but I think I should not. Assuming rationality (although that is an unlikely assumption) the villian has a set or two pair - more likely he flopped a set. I let it go here and work on building my stack. I still have a chance to win with a partially crippled stack. I think the chances of losing if you call are probably > 80%.

Yes. That's why you fold this preflop.

i don't like building big pots w/ hands like KJ, just call preflop and try to keep the pot small, if your going to play this.

I raised with the KJs because everybody folded to me and I would get position if MP3 the CO and Button folded. I didn't want them to limp in with weak connectors and flop a good draw. Why is that not a good reason to raise? Please advise.

Is it better to limp in and try to catch a flop, then bet aggressivley?

I think you are right. If he did have a better Jack like AJ or something, he probably would have raisd the SB. When he called my 220 dollar bet on the turn that made me raise an eyebrow or two. the only other think I may have thought of was he had a maybe a Jack with a small kicker and was chasing. But would someone call that size of a bet if they had a Jack with a weak kicker?

Fold pre-flop.

Blinds are small now, you can only win a little or lose a lot.

KJ is a sucker hand (I'd know).
