Default WIFI

Has anyone found a way to get internet access on a laptop without having to resort to wifi hotspots. I heard that verizon has a plan but it costs 80.00/month. Anyone use this or any other similar methods.

-Thanks-

Um.. do you mean for free like from your neighbor?

Or legit?

If legit, then just get a wireless router and hook it up to your existing internet. I picked up a cheap netgear router with WPA, 4 ports, etc. for 30 bucks with a 20 dollar mail in rebate. So net $10. Doesn't have the range of some but it's enough for all my rooms but since it's weak, it doesn't work outside of my place unless you are standing about 2 feet from the door. To me, that's added security.

Of course I mean legit but not via a router. That set-up is for home use, I am reffering to one that can be used on the road.

The Verizon thing is $80 a month. The highspeed option is only available in major metropolitan areas (but expanding quickly), but the same card gives you access to the larger (and slower) nationwide network.
