Default bet for value? check/call? c/r fold to 3bet?

Homeboy is pretty LAG, but is aggressive when he shouldnt be, raises at the wrong spots, etc (example: he likes to raise bottom pair on the flop, even when his other card is under the flop. explain this to me). his stats look good im sure but he doesn't really know what he's doing. He loves to call- and to raise. Which brings me to the question. He raises me on the flop which contains some flush/straight possibilities. I lead into him on the turn when none of them come in. The river pairs the top card. I think it's about a 30% chance he raised the flop w/ top pair (although id expect him to raise the turn then) vs a draw (flush or straight, in which case id expect him to call the turn). Knowing that, does a bet/call (knowing he;ll raise scare cards/raise for the purpose of being aggressive), a bet/fold (i cant see why this is right here) or a check/call to induce a bluffsky (he's the type that'd do it.) He'd likely call w/ any piece of the board. Oh, and one final thought. How about c/r the river and folding to a 3bet?

I think you played it fine against our LAG here, no need to get excessively fancy

3bet flop. Charge that lone 7 or club draw to see the turn.

What's wrong with capping the flop against this type of player? You told us he likes to raise with draws and bottom pair, cap his ass and make him pay for it.

Sry. Meant 3-bet, not cap.

newbie self testing here!

I'd prob consider three betting the flop. As it stands, if he's LAG he could be holding top pair, or either (or both) draws.

After that, If he calls I'm betting out until I hit a scare card or a sign of strength. If he caps my flop three-bet I'm check- calling down.

Turn has neither, his flat call makes me edge towards a draw holding.

River is annoying but i think I'm still betting out here. draw or lower overpair is favourite to top pair. If he raises i spit, call, and curse.
