In the 77 hand, why don't we bet the turn? If we thought we were ahead on the flop, shoudn't we still be good on the turn?

hand 2 - flop bet is standard with a PP and one over card. For those same reasons, you should bet turn.

hand two i would have raised buttons turn bet before i folded to it, as you did. it's very possible you have the best hand right now and i'd raise to thin the field of overcards.

He's folding the turn because of the 3 callers on the flop, not the turn card. That being said, even with 3 callers I still think he needs to bet the turn. There are plenty of hands that they would peel the flop with that you beat.

Yeah, I think hand 1 is ok sans read of BB as the type who would take a shot on a scary river card.

As for hand 2: the way it played out, I'd agree with everyone that check-folding the turn is a bad idea. I think with 5 people still in, I'd be inclined to check the flop and see what action comes behind me. I'd be prepared to raise an LP bet.
