Every so often
I get a hand like this. On the flop i'm going for overcalls. I really have no idea what to do here, so i fast play

That's quite a few posts in a row, isn't it sir?
Anyway, why cap the flop? The board isn't very scary and someone is guaranteed to bet the turn, so get your checkraise in there. Or call the 3-bet flop and lead out on the turn, your pick, but capping here is probably missing out on later action. |

Raise the flop yourself. You'll get more action from an ace and there really isnt much else besides gutters for people to be calling with on this flop. You may also be able to set up a turn raise from just calling a 3bet on the flop.
You'd be suprised what kind of stuff some will peel with even for 2 bets cold, you have them destroyed so make them pay for calling with their gutters, small pp's, etc. |
