New poker variant \"Rip Tide\"
Hello 2+2'rs here is a new game for ya! It is called Rip Tide
I conceived this version of hold’em a few years back. After pitching it in the industry I’m now going public in a few forums for a little extra protection (I'd be a fool to trust any casino ) Deal a normal game of hold’em, except when you get to the river instead of a community river card deal out one card face down to all players! It a hybrid mix between 7card and hold’em and it creates some SERIOUS ACTION! Four community cards, three hole cards and with the third hole card coming to players on “the river” potts get big and people tend to stay in to see their third hole card. Once players have the third hole card everything gets amplified…potts blow up, the bluff factor goes through the roof and action intensifies. It’s like this: (8 players max) Dealer deals two hole cards… Normal play action… Dealer deals community three card flop… Normal play action… Dealer deals community single turn card… Normal play action… Dealer deals “The Rip”, one card face down to all players still in the game… Final table play action. Give it a shot at your home games it’s a blast. Let me know what you think. |

Good plan. Casino's are huge on paying royalties/fee's. The guy that came up with Stud is making a killing.

[/ QUOTE ] Very true, I play it 10 handed...but what I've found is more Stud players who stay away from hold'em are keen to play this game. Hence, the 8 players. I can't seam to be able to edit my topic post, I would have left that out seeing this is a hold'em thread. |

You would be dealt a fifth hole card down (instead of river) and only use three of your hole cards to complete. This might be inticing for Omaha players, I personally suck at Omaha and find four hole cards a total mind phuck let alone five. But if there are any Omaha players who would like to try it out please let me know the results, I would luv to hear the input. |
