I don't raise 5th here but I dont give a free card on 6th either. Its too hard to tell where villan is and a raise here defines your hand for him but not his for you.

How does a raise on 5th define hero's hand?

I think he started with a 3 flush with the Js in the hole. Go ahead and raise him. If he started with a Pocket pair and just made 2 pair you have outs.

The only time raising sucks bad is when he's rolled. And you can't worry about that

It basically says 'Hey I have a made hand but I would slow play trips a little so it must be a big pair'

I think I raise fifth here a majority of the time. Especially against a player like BetCrap. Here is why.

A vast majority of the time you are ahead. He either started with a three flush with a jack in the hole, or my best guess is 7x7 two diamonds. Any card that puts you acting first on the next round puts you in the lead if you already aren't. If you don't improve you can check behind on sixth (although I probably would bet again if I wasn't re-raised on fifth). If he does re-raise I think you are still in decent enough shape as you may be up against jacks and sevens or kings and jacks.

No. Most of my stud sessions are on crypto but I'd raise here almost every single time.

caveat: I do not play the £20-40($40-80)
