wierd question
I was wondering if any of you guys have read any non-poker related books, that have helped you with poker. I have read everything poker related, but my interest got peaked in an article from card player about a pro learning about "higher consciousness". I was thinking some books on reading body language (for live play) or meditation, psychology..ect. Just curious really.
Thanks |

Re: wierd question
turnipmonster swears by "Effortless Mastery," which is a book for musicians but can be applied to any performance-based discipline such as poker.

Re: wierd question
here is what I am looking for
You know those times you are at the table/computer, and you "feel" really good... making great decisions. Laying down big hands when you "feel" behind (and finding out you were right), and snapping off bluffs. I want to tap into that side of me more often. I am not talking psychic stuff either (like "Im gonna play Q7o from EP because I feel it").....not really sure exactly. |

Re: wierd question
Lederer talks about how he uses zen towards poker. The mastery of archery or something like that. Of course zen and the art of poker is one of the worst books, so I'll let you be the judge.
