Default How are the Party 15/30 full tables these days?

Profitable?

Very profitable?

LAG? TAG? ....

Anyone prefer them as opposed to the 10/20 SH?

do we pretty much think this is a consequence of all the rich-fish migrating to the 20/40 and 30/60 games?

i would assume they are relativley soft, like ~99.7% of all poker games.

not quite 5 high, but...

Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">7 folds</font>, Button calls, Hero completes. (BB is all in)

Flop: (2.86 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, Button calls.

Turn: (2.43 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, Button calls.

River: (4.43 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, Button calls.

Final Pot: 6.43 BB

Results:
Hero has Qc Ts (three of a kind, tens).
Button has 5d 6c (one pair, tens).
Outcome: Hero wins 6.43 BB.

I think when we played poker at age 11, 4 to a straight could beat a pair (we called it a small straight). Apparently, this guy still plays by those rules.

Well sure. But they aren't like they were 6 months ago before the 30 games went unlimited.

I've been dabbling with them recently. These are my thoughts from my fairly limited experience:

For me, a good table has VPIP 30%, with perhaps one true donator, and a couple of semi-bad players. The rest are TAGs of variable skill. You can occasionally find a truly good table.

I'm running over 1BB/100 (small sample size), but I don't think an average player like myslelf is going to push beyond 2 very easily, if ever.

10/20 6-max is far more profitable. However, I do enjoy the 15/30 full more -- it's a nice change of pace and more relaxed. If you have the bankroll, I would say just give it a go when your feeling good about it or need a break from 6-max.

I had some "develocitisation" problems when I first moved back to full table from 6-max. I had to keep chanting the mantra to myself "AJo is not a monster, AJo is not a monster........".

After having played the 30s for a while and having gone back to 15 and 20, the 15 games are a lot easier than the 30 games.

The 30 games are tighter on average. The good players in the 30 games are really good. It is true that the well known superfish have all moved up to the 30 games, but there are plenty to take their place.

As always you need to be game selective.
