Default Broadway vs. 4-to-flush - cold call river raise?

I felt really bad cold-calling the raise on the river. I know the mantra here is to not fold big hands on big pots, and to not give micro players too much credit. But still... I seem to lose many more big pots than I gain when I experiment with that approach. I normally would have folded on the river here, and that's likely what I'll do next time.

Question #2 is, obviously, the check on the turn. I figured I was getting set up for a check-raise. In retrospect, I think I was right. Of course, if I thought that, then I was giving credit for a flush, and I should have folded the river.

No read on BB, CO saw literally 3/4 of the flops and almost never folded overcards/bottom pair or better.

Yeah. They did check right into me after all. I should have folded right there.

Exactly... My thinking was: My odds were 11/2, I had a 10-A straight, the turn was checked, the betting could just as easily have been from lower straights that were made on the river, and a maniac raised into me. I would only have to be right one out of six times.
