At what point do hands like A3o become profitable to play against bigger aces, assuming people will stack off for a healthy chunk with TPTK. Assume you play better than most of the table and aren't going to pay off if you flop just TPNK. The bigger your edge the small stack size requirement, huh? 300xBB in a limped pot? 100x a standard opening raise?

I think the domination of being last to act (and the bluffing accuracy that comes with it) out-dominates the domination that a king has over a three. So I think your question comes in two parts, first and last.

This is the stuff I am trying to get the SSNL guys to think about a little more.
I'm not sure it only applies in deep stack games. I think it might also be applicatble to games where everyone has 100bbs behind. |

I am interested in hearing on how you would determine whether or not the other person has the TPTK. Is it a range of hands or are you just folding if you don't hit two pair or better?

But I only call raises from predictable players with position. |

AZK, are you likely to call raises in position with 94o or similar holdings from predictable players?

The 4 gappers haven't worked out well for me. But I def call with 97o. Then again, this is a game where average stack is 400xbb.

It seems that low aces have much more value in SH aggressive games, when people have more trouble folding TPNK. But it can get you in trouble against trickier players when you just hit your lone ace. It seems like in games below 5/10 they pay you off a huge % of the time when you have aces up and they have AK/AQ.

Yeah, hands that most people would just top PF become very playable. However, you have to be very willing to give up your hand, even if you've got some good draws and hit what you were looking for. Botton two pair can become as weak as TPTK in multiway pots.
