Default how much money I need in order to play NL$1000

for this 2 years, I won $20,000, mainly at small stakes NL table
1)is it enough to play NL$1,000 with only $3,000 - $5,000 ?
2)do you have any instruction to define that whether I am continue playing at the higher stakes table (may be tough) or I just need to play small stakes (quite easy to win)?

Please help

if you've been playing 100nl the past two years i wouldn't move all the way up to 1000nl if i were you. it's best to play the next level up when moving up because each level is different. but as far as bankroll goes 20-30 buyins is about standard.

I started playing NL $1000 with an 8k roll, and I haven't gone broke yet! Don't listen to me though git a 20k roll.

you won 20k at small stakes with a bankroll in the same ballpark as 3 - 5 buyins?

$5k downswings are somewhat common at those stakes.

Good luck.

Move up 1 level at the time. However I think it could be reasonable to skip $200, as tight straightforward play is good enough to win at $400. I have played 40.000 hands now at $1000 (Party). My biggest downswing was a good 10k in like 3 days.

what i'm saying is that if you left 3-5 buyins to invest, you lost it and had to redeposit probably many times on your way to winning 20k.
