It is best just to bet the flop. Given that you did check/raise, you need to bet the turn as well. I will do this sometimes (with any 2 cards really) if I feel like the CO is getting greedy and will bet any 2 when we check to him.

Bet the flop in this spot. With the line you took I'd bet the turn and you could very well take it down right there.

I understand what you are trying to do here, but you should play this more straightforwardly most of the time. Bet out. Check the turn when you don't hit.
When you hit the river you can sometimes checkraise if you checked the turn, and called a bet there. (Read dependent) |
