Default Anything at all for pokerstars ?

I looked thoroughly through the classifieds but couldn't find anything dealing with pokerstars. Are their any offers at all ? I know there is no rakeback but perhaps a one time bonus or a free book ? If not than I guess I'll just go to their site and download the software.

They don't need gimmicks because their site kicks total ass.

They have no sign up bonuses, only random reload bonuses.

This is why they are a good site to start with if you don't have a large bankroll. They have nano-limits (not raked), and you won't miss out on a hefty sign-up bonus due to lack of bankroll.

I don't know if you are refering to their software or their actual web site, but the site itself is pretty ugly.

Anyway, I havn't tried their software yet (just about to do it) but I have big expectations from them. It is really surprising that they are a close second to Party even though they don't have any promotions and in general I don't really run into their advertising.

That is the rough equivalent of saying "Dude, I met this smokin' girl at the bar last night, she was totally hot, but man, her right elbow, her elbow was just so ugly. I'd never hit that, all I can think about is that elbow."

Who cares what the website looks like.

Jerry: She had man hands.
Elaine: Man hands?
Jerry: The hands of a man. It's like a creature out of Greek Mythology, I mean, she was like part woman, part horrible beast.
Elaine: Would you prefer it if she had no hands at all?
Jerry: Would she have hooks?

Until a couple of weeks ago, no. I don't live in the U.S and poker is definitely not big here. You can catch some poker on tv but we usually joke about how lousy the cable sports channels are for broadcasting poker instead of real sports.

I only became aquainted with holdem because of my job, which requires me to spend my entire day surfing through casino sites (it's not that exciting, trust me). So, my intrest in poker only started a couple of weeks ago when I took the liberty to actually read some of the content on these sites and I discovered that this game is kind of cool. The only form of poker that I knew before was 5-card draw which I don't think that I ever played for real money.

When I think about it now, it seems that I am the perfect guy to judge Pokerstars for the their lack of advertising. After seeing thounsands of web sites that deal with casinos and online gambling, I can definately say that the Pokerstars online advertising that I have seen pales in comparison to Party and Empire and even Pacific. I guess they focus their advertising outside of the internet, and they turn to the real poker enthusiast by using poker stars like Moneymaker (I am never forgeting THAT name, that's for sure)and advertising on poker TV (to which I cannot say that I am overly exposed). I think the fact that you see Lee Jones's face as the first thing on their site tells it all .

Ah, now that finally tried there software, I can say that the lobby itself is much more organized but the actual game table looks much worse than party. The refresh rates are really bad and it gives the feeling that everything is running real slow. I would actually reverse the metaphor given earlier and say that it is like a date with an ugly woman but with a good heart and brain.

As far as I can tell Pokerstars' software runs flawlessly. I've never run into any problems.

Also their customer support is much much better than any other sites support that I've dealt with.
