what do you put him on when he min-raises the turn?

also, is just putting the rest in on the river bad?

He played it like he has 77 or AA (maybe). With no reads I'm just getting it in on the turn.

Edited to add a lil reasoning-- He might min-raise the turn with AK or AA in order to try to control the pot. He wants a cheaper showdown with these hands.

Hmm, tough hand. That turn minraise after his preflop cold call of the cutoff's raise is troublesome... I would consider 77 to be his most likely hand here. This is an ugly spot. I think after his turn raise I would either fold or want to see as cheap of a showdown as possible. Minraisers usually make puny value bets, so I'd check/call the river. I really can't put him on anything other than KQ,77, or MAYBE AA.

who doesnt reraise pre-flop with AA

then again, it could be that

but this played like 77 ....im thinking check-call should have been best

Check/call sounds like a great way to only get money out of 77.

yea, well, hand was even weirder than i thought. he had QQ and obviously took the pot

however he had some other really really weird plays afterwards

he re-raised from blinds to 55 with 78s

cold-called KK from the button after a raise and a call

got all-in on the turn against a 100 BB stack with K3s on a KcT9c board against AcTc and took that down too

I don't think tptk is strong enough to sp on that board. I put him on 77, QQ, KK, AA, KQ. I don't like the push on the river given this range and prefer to let him try to draw more money out of me and will likely call for the 5% of the time I'm actually ahead. I don't think you can fold out a better hand here.

weird hand...i'd be real afraid of a set here...he didn't raise preflop so I think 77 is the most likely, especially given your holdings. I probably want to check call this river...he'll probably make some stupid minbet cuz he's an idiot minraiser. Maybe you can showdown cheap...i'm not looking to play a monster pot with two pair here given the action.

Check/call sounds to me like a great way to pay 77, but get very little out of anything you beat. Is villain going to call your all in with a hand like KJ? How about AQ?

If OP is willing to play this hand for all his chips, he should be willing to check/call any bet from villain. Villain could make bets with a lot of hands on the river, the vast majority of which Hero is ahead of.
