Default Flop Decision, TPTK Coordinated Flop

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) converter

CO ($7.35)
Button ($14)
SB ($6)
BB ($10)
UTG ($6.15)
UTG+1 ($8.90)
MP1 ($6.60)
Hero ($2.45)
MP3 ($7.95)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, Hero calls $0.10, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Button calls $0.10, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($0.40) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">BB bets $0.3</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1.2</font>, Button folds, SB folds, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $2.7</font>, Hero calls $1.15 (All-In).

Turn: ($5.45) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

River: ($5.45) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $5.45

No exact reads on this player, besides that he's been making 3/4 pot bets all day, so I felt he could have had anything here. Mainly, when I raised I didn't want him to have the odds to call with a flush draw, which was what I initially put him on. Criticism/suggestions please.

1. Why are you short stacked at $10 NL.
2. Why did you call a 3-bet on a mono-tone, straight-friendly flop with TPTK, unless you know he'd do this with top pair/weak kicker. Though because of #1, you might just have to call this.

Hey mmbapmashida,

I would fold this preflop. I know that might sound overly tight, but open limping with a weak hand like ATs is probably not going to win you money over the long term. A suited ace is a hand that needs limpers to be profitable. Given how short your stack is, I probably call the push. If you were deeper, I would fold to his 3 bet.

Actually thanks for telling me that, Malachii. I was wondering if I had been playing too loose, and after this hand decided if I was going to be in a hand with only a couple other people, then I was coming in for a raise.

Starting off with a $10 bankroll isn't easy. =] I bought in this room for $3.
