hand 1
bet 20, there are too many draws your opponent could have to give a free card.

hand 2
check on the turn hopefully you will induce a bet from a one or two pair hand then plan to value bet the river for half pot.

Hand 1:

Bet pot, fold to a raise.

Hand 2:

Bet about 1/2 pot, fold to a raise. Value bet any non diamond river.

I am not folding to a raise on hand 2. He is very unlikely to be on a flopped flush here.

Meh, missed the sentence about your read on the guy. Sorry about that. I still dont like checking here to induce a bluff unless you are sure he will bet. So probably about a 2/3 pot bet on turn, and again, value bet any non-diamond river.

Doesn't a diamond river give him the nut flush?

hand 1
preflop-goot.
flop-nice reraise with the draws out there. Another line for consideration is the smooth call and turn lead (if non draw completing card). This line may induce more to follow into the turn and when it bricks a nice reraise or bet picks up a profitable pot and doesn't lose a-j, a-q which your current line might persudade them to drop their hand.

turn- as played, bet 18-21. I'd push a reraise b/c no one sane calls on the gutshot (at this level) and the flush didn't get there.

Hand 2
this ones more interesting
You can lead the turn but that might persuade UTG who liked his hand that you really have the goods and he might fold. I like a check-raise or check call to river bet. This line lets utg bet his hand that he is confident into your straight. Hell i might even reraise/push if we're so confident that he does NOT have the flush.

edit:i misread and thought that hero had K_J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Ok I need to go home. I am a complete moron, somehow I saw his 2 "red cards" as hearts. Ignore everything I said, I am clearly either drunk or on my deathbed right now.

Whats wrong with checking? It looks like we are on the flush draw which we are but we also have the nut straight. A free card cant really hurt either as the villain is unlikely to have a set with no raise preflop.

Villian might have a set, looking to limp-raise pre-flop. However, i would think he'd bet with a set on the turn if checekd to.
