The word (rumors) in Tunica is that the Horseshoe there is up for sale. I sure hate to hear that.

Aren't they each owned by two different people though? Jack Binion owns the one in Tunica, but I thought the sister owned the one in Vegas.

I know things are slower in the south but I didn't think news came months behind.

Strange.

I thought the Marshalls went in yesterday?

Anyway, so I guess this is the end of the WSOP...hate to be someone who has already won/paid for a seat...

I seriously doubt this will be the end of WSOP. I'm pretty sure the absolute worst we're looking at is that it will not be held this year. ESPN coverage has been getting good ratings and it's much too profitable a trademark to go away this easily. It is likely to be sold (or auctioned) to some other casino and the money will help covering Binion's debt.
Just my thinking.

I wouldn't worry about losing a seat won through a satelite. If the WSOP doesn't run, I'm sure most places will just send their winners to the next big 10K WPT event
