Default set on a 4 flush board

Table is typical loose passive.

UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (4 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB bets, BB folds, Hero raises, Button calls, SB calls.

Turn: (5 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, Button calls, SB calls.

you can probably bet and fold to a raise.
checking is 2nd option.
bet/call 3rd

There's actually a surprisingly decent (~40%) chance that neither opponent has a flush, so you still have a pot equity edge. Bet/fold looks like the way to go.

Will anything but a flush call that bet?
Isn't it better that you check and possibly induce a bluff and then call?
Same cost for a showdown if it's one of those 40% where you are good.

Agree. But also if he bets the river, cant he make a low diamond fold too? (Not very often, I know.. but it could save the pot if happened)

I agreee that a low diamond may fold but I think you will lose more often. Here you cant win any more bets as a caller will have a flush

I say bet/fold. You will only be raised by someone with the Ad or Kd. Any other diamond is going to call or fold. I think you will come out better in the long run by betting. As an early poster said it is surprising how many of these hands are shown down with no flush.
